About the data and safety
Historical NOAA AWOIS
and UKHO data via EMODnet are reference
locations, not verified recreational dive sites. Missing source depths are clearly labeled estimates from
GEBCO bathymetry or
NOAA Great Lakes bathymetry.
Inland locations include data from OpenStreetMap contributors
under ODbL, the PADI dive-site directory,
and Ohio's scuba-access rule
with Ohio DNR bathymetry.
Selected inland records also use the DiveLogs community aggregation
as a discovery signal, then link directly to independent access, agency, bathymetry, or operator sources.
Reported Wisconsin wreck depths include data from the
Wisconsin DNR
and the Wisconsin Historical Society shipwreck dataset.
Contains UKHO public-sector information licensed under the
Open Government Licence v3.0.
